ALTARES PARA TERESADecember 2024
This project was born to honor my grandmother, Teresa Vargas.
She taught us determination, growth, and love as a vocation—not as something abstract, but as a daily act. In her way of being, care was practical, strength was steady, and generosity was natural.
I built five altars in a space outside of time. Not as monuments to loss, but as gestures of recognition. Each one holds simple elements that speak about what she gave us: patience, resilience, consistency, and warmth.
The altars exist like quiet offerings— balanced between weight and light, between presence and memory.
This work is not about saying goodbye.
It is about saying thank you.
It acknowledges what remains: the values, the lessons, the love that continues through us.
